The Mcusta Katana MC-0044C is a high-quality, razor-sharp pocket knife made in the Japanese knife capital, Seki. Although the name ‘Katana’ might suggest otherwise, this gentleman’s knife is definitely not a sword in terms of size. With a total opened length of 19.5 cm, this knife is ideal for EDC use. The aluminium handle fits well in hand, and the coloured recesses offer a comfortable grip. Another advantage of aluminium is that it’s very lightweight, so you can hardly feel the knife sitting in your pocket.
The blade of the Katana is forged from beautiful VG10 Damascus steel. VG10 is a fine steel that can be sharpened to a very thin grind. And they sure can sharpen in Japan, because the Katana is delivered razor-sharp.
The Mcusta Katana is smooth to open thanks to the double thumb stud and Mcusta’s signature nylon washers around the pivot. When opened, the blade is locked in place by a solid liner lock. A special feature of the Katana is that it only has a steel liner on the lock side. The pocket clip also springs directly from this liner, meaning it is not removable or convertible.
